The Canadian Fitness and Lifestyle Research Institute (CFLRI) and EKOS Research are conducting a series of small group discussions with Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) adult women about the role of sport and physical activity in their lives.

Participation in the study is voluntary, and shared experiences are never attributed to anyone’s identity in the reporting. The focus groups, with 4 to 6 Indigenous women each, are intended to explore what motivates or prevents women from participating in sport or physical activity, and what supports would be useful to help increase physical activity. The discussions will take place in February and an honorarium is offered.
